Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

Beat the heat with a glass of cold and refreshing strawberry and banana smoothie! The flavor combination of tart and sweet compliments the creaminess of the yogurt. Enjoy this satisfying smoothie as a main meal or dessert on a hot day!

Yield: serves 1

Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup orange juice (from carton or freshly squeezed)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries*, stems removed
  • 1 ripe banana*, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 carton plain or vanilla yogurt, 6 oz (optional)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions:

Pour orange juice into the blender and add the strawberries, bananas, yogurt, and ice. Blend until smooth.

*If these fruits are not in season, you can use frozen fruits instead and eliminate the need for ice in the smoothie.
