Fresh basil is a delicious alternative to fresh cilantro in guacamole.
2 avocados, peeled and seeded
1 small tomato, diced to fill about ½ cup
1 tiny red onion, diced to fill about 1 Tablespoon
Juice from one lime
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon hot sauce, optional
2 Tablespoons basil, julienned (chopped finely)
Mash the avocado gently with a fork. Add the remaining ingredients and stir gently. Serve with organic blue corn tortilla chips.
