Basil Guacamole

Fresh basil is a delicious alternative to fresh cilantro in guacamole.

Basil Guacamole


  • 2 avocados, peeled and seeded
  • 1 small tomato, diced to fill about ½ cup
  • 1 tiny red onion, diced to fill about 1 Tablespoon
  • Juice from one lime
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce, optional
  • 2 Tablespoons basil, julienned (chopped finely)


Mash the avocado gently with a fork. Add the remaining ingredients and stir gently. Serve with organic blue corn tortilla chips.
Serves 4
