Kids Spring Farmers Market

Kids Spring Farmers Market
Students set up to practice food literacy at home.

It was watermelon wonderful to see our students at our Kids Spring Farmers Market on May 26th! 600 pounds of fresh fruits and veggies from local farms went home with 240 kids and family members at Woodbine Elementary School. Special thanks to Nugget Markets for their support.

Kid with plantFamilies lined up early and were excited about the fresh produce. Students also received cooking tools, a recipe book, crafts, and a cherry tomato plant from Azolla Farm! When our students bring fresh veggies home, they can continue practicing the healthy habits that we helped them develop.

You can view the Facebook photo album or the Facebook live video to see the event!
