Sacramento Food Film Festival 2013
January 15th, 2013

The Sacramento Food Film Festival will serve up thought-provoking and unique films celebrating and examining food, from dirt to plate, on March 15 and 16, at the Guild Theater in Sacramento.

This year’s festival will feature seven diverse films focusing on a range of topics from the life of a sushi master in Japan to the exploration of soil! There also will be panel discussions of the various movies and a sushi event. In addition, there will be a concession stand of healthy snacks by Whole Foods.

Participate in our Scavenger Hunt! Win great prizes, and help your kids learn about our food system. The game has questions that can be done in advance, as well as items to hunt for after viewing What’s on Your Plate at the film festival on Saturday, March 16.

We’re also looking for sponsors to purchase tickets to the film What’s on Your Plate for the low-income students in our food literacy class. The film was made by kids for kids, and is a wonderful way to teach them about our food system. You can sponsor a child here: Sacramento Food Film Festival Tickets.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit California Food Literacy Center and Slow Food Sacramento!
