Laura Tuller
Program Manager

Laura Tuller grew up on a small farm in rural New Hampshire, growing, cooking, eating, and preserving all manner of fruits and vegetables. She’s happy to be in California, where beautiful produce is plentiful all year long, and even more excited to share the joy of cooking healthy food with the kids of Sacramento!

Laura joined the Food Literacy Center team as the Program Manager in 2017. In her role, she is leading a passionate group of AmeriCorps members, as well as creating systems and training to help Food Literacy Center continue to thrive as it expands.

Laura is no stranger to dynamic youth programming, coming to Food Literacy Center from four years as the Youth and Family Director at the Downtown Berkeley YMCA. She also served as a volunteer for Oakland Based Urban Gardens, and was involved with bike advocacy projects through Bike East Bay.

Laura serves on BHC’s Healthy Food for All Coalition, as well as Sacramento City Unified School District’s Coordinated School Health Committee; she loves the culture of collaboration in Sacramento.

Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Allegheny College, and has also studied Mandarin Chinese at National Taiwan University.
