Hana J. Lee
Volunteer and Events Coordinator

Hana J. Lee is a passionate advocate for social justice and believes that the greatest lessons can be taught through a connection to one’s food, its ingredients, and cooking.

She joined the Food Literacy Center team in June 2015 after several months as a Communications Intern with the organization. With several years experience as a manager in the food service industry, Hana knows how to educate and empower people. As the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, she recruits, trains and manages volunteers, and assists with community relations and event planning.

Hana is a member of the Sacramento Food Film Festival Planning Committee.

Hana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Public Health from the University of California, Davis. She is fluent in Korean.

“The food revolution is so much bigger than just eating local and organic. It’s about increasing access, empowering with education, and eliminating the privilege that is so heavily associated with eating healthy.”
