Erika Nunley
Interim Development & Marketing Coordinator

A San Diego transplant, Erika moved to Sacramento in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the luscious landscape, passionate people, and diverse, local food. She started as a volunteer for Food Literacy Center and was hired on as Interim Development & Marketing Coordinator for the second half of 2017. Erika is excited to continue learning about how the region’s agriculture and food system intersect with consumers and food education. She is committed to helping the next generation develop healthy habits for life.

Before her time at Food Literacy Center, Erika worked for Cafe Bernardo in Sacramento and spent almost a decade in the jewelry industry in San Diego. She has a B.A. degree in Jewelry and Metals from San Diego State University and studied gemology at the Gemological Institute of America. Outside of work, Erika enjoys trying new recipes with her husband, Aaron, photography, home improvement projects, and spending time with her dog and two cats. Her favorite veggies are bok choy, delicata squash, and arugula.
