A Foraged Feast for Food Literacy
July 17th, 2013

For this rare Sacramento experience, James Beard Award winning food writer and chef, Hank Shaw, will come out of the woods and step into the kitchen of California Food Literacy Center’s chief food genius, Amber Stott, to bring you a foraged feast to benefit food literacy education for kids.

Shaw will utilize ingredients foraged locally, from Amber’s backyard farm and from his own pantry to prepare a five-course meal paired with local wine and craft beers. You’ll dine in Amber’s edible backyard, which was professionally landscaped during the TV makeover show Turf War.

The intimate dinner will only seat 14 people. Grab your ticket while they last!

Tickets: $250/person–includes 1 gift basket per couple filled with homemade goodies from Amber, gourmet vanilla beans, a new cookbook and seeds.

When: Saturday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m.

Reserve your tickets at http://foragedfeastfoodliteracy.eventbrite.com/.
