Organic Sacramento Presents “You’re Eating What?”

Enjoy an evening of music, food, beverages and education on July 28, Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento.

In the U.S., genetically engineered foods are not labeled and 90% of people polled in the U.S. would like labels on foods. In addition, one million Californians signed “The Right to Know” Initiative and 50 countries around the world now label Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).

Learn more about the initiative and GMOs through our panel of experts. Jeffrey Smith, founder of the Institute of Responsible Technology and author of “Genetic Roulette” and “Seeds of Deception” will present the keynote speech, “We Have a Right to Know What We are Eating.” Other expert speakers include Pamm Larry, founder of “The CA Right to Know/Label GMOs” Initiative, Belinda Martineau, geneticist, and Kelly Sutton, pediatric physician.

There also will be complimentary beer and wine tasting, gift bags, door prizes, tasty dishes from local organic restaurants and businesses, and music by Glowbox, Barclay Neuman and Adrian.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $7  for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased from: www.thecrest.com or tickets.com, 800-225-2277, or from Sacramento and Davis Natural Foods Co-ops, and Sunshine Natural Foods in Fair Oaks.
